November was a great month for us all: new features on FC, special offers, and a lot of new files submitted but only the best ones got featured.  And believe me it was hard to choose because we know you’ve all worked hard. For those of you whose files haven’t been featured this past month, be ambitious and creative! The Featured box awaits you.

2. You forgot your own birthday!
3. You miss deadlines. You haven’t delivered a project in time for some while now.
4. Your forgot you bought plain tickets to Tahiti.  Helloo, that was three days ago.
5. You forgot you took 2 weeks off work. You kept working. Auch!

Usflashmap probably had one of these reasons in mind (or more)when he developed this smart calendar. Or just got tired of writing to-do lists. Nowadays,

ieiWe have created a great library of image, audio and video files that you can use freely in your commercial projects. This way, you won’t waste anymore time or money searching for websites or directory listings from where to download files. You have it all gathered in this nice library where you will find a lot of amazing creations that can be used for commercial or non-commercial purposes and that will complete your projects.

The FC Library consists of three lists with links for each of the three categories: image, audio and video. As you will notice, every resource we chose to include in our library has a description regarding the necessity of creating an account on that website, the terms of use, the diversity of files you can find there and how you can download them.

If you know of any other great image, audio or video resources, please contact us and we’ll add it to the library. Share your resources with the community you’re part of! We would all appreciate it!

If you’re a Flash freelancer and need projects to work on, let everyone know. We’ve added a new feature on FC and you can now let users know you’re available for freelance work, including customizing your own Flash components at a users’ request.

You can add this feature by logging in to your FC account, going to My Account-> My Profile-> Edit and then checking the Freelance box. This will then appear on your author page and users can see it and send you project proposals .  Hope you find this new feature useful and enjoy using it!

Why Does Copyright Infringement Have to Exist?

guilt2Yesterday I read about Guns N’ Roses (yes, I’m a huge fan :D ) being sued for copyright infringement and got to thinking: in a world where everybody copywrites their own words, phrases on Twitter, people are going crazy when it comes to it. Some are afraid of it, some are revolted and even associate it with censorship. But what does constitute a valid copyright infringement case? Is it theft or is it inspiration? Moreover, what’s the difference between a creator and an author?
