As you know, at the Google I/O conference, Google publicly announced Android OS 2. (FroYo) and the release of Google TV this coming fall. Google TV will not only support Flash Player 10.1, but also Android apps. This is a great opportunity for all Flash developers out there to start working on some awesome apps.

A more reason to do so is the latest exciting news on Android mobiles:

“A new market survey has shown that Google’s Android OS has surged past Apple’s iPhone army for the first time in the US,”

says Gareth Beavis in an article on Techradar. For a more in depth reading, I suggest downloading this month’s issue of Flash&Flex magazine and checking out Lee Graham’s special report on Flash Player 10.1 on Android.

This past week we’ve kept you updated with the latest supporters of Flash and Flash Player 10.1. Here’s what made them decide:

•  98% of Internet connected PCs have Flash Player
•  85% of the top 100 websites use Flash Player (Alexa)
•  75% of web video is viewed using Flash Player (Comscore)
•  98% of enterprises rely on Flash Player (Forrester)
•  70% of web games are delivered using Flash Player (Evans Data Corp.)
•  3.5 million developers use the Flash Platform
•  19 of the top 20 device manufacturers worldwide have committed to  shipping Flash technology on their devices.

How about you? What made you decide to stick with Flash?
